"We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth." (Articles of Faith 1:7)
The miracles that attended the ministry of Jesus Christ and His Apostles are available in our lives today. The gifts of the Spirit spoken of in 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 (see also Moroni 10:8-18; Doctrine & Covenants 46:13-26) are still found in Christ's church. (see 1 Corinthians 12:28)
All of us have at least one gift given to us by God. Through our faith we may seek out additional gifts and use them to build up the Kingdom of God and to lift and edify one another. (see Doctrine & Covenants 46:7-12) True spiritual gifts lead to greater understanding, unity, and love.
