It is an abiding trust that the Lord can fulfill His promises to us. Faith is active. As we trust the Lord we want to do what He has asked us to do.
"Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." (Hebrews 11:1) "Faith is things which are hoped for and not seen... for ye receive no witness until after the trial of your faith." (Ether 12:6)
When we act in faith and follow the example and teachings of Jesus Christ, we will know that what we are doing is right. As Christ promised: "If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself." (John 7:17)
As we truly have faith in Christ, we will want to change those things in our life that give offense to God. We will want to repent of our sins.
