Endure to the End

Once we have been baptized and confirmed we need to continue on the path to Eternal Life.  We must "press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men."  We are promised that if we "endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life." (2 Nephi 31:20)

We "endure to the end" by continually exercising faith, repenting, keeping our commitments and covenants, and following the Spirit's guidance.  In order to have the Spirit's guidance in our lives we must repent of our sins and strive to remain free from sin.  When we are baptized we are completely cleansed from our sins and we promise to keep the commandments.  If we mess up and fall short, we must repent.  We can become clean again and renew the covenant made at baptism by partaking of the the sacrament.

This pattern of faith, repentance, making and keeping covenants, and following the Spirit becomes a way of life.  We draw closer to God and find greater happiness, peace, and joy in our daily lives.  This lifestyle will lead us to Eternal Life in God's presence.
